🧙 Andrea Saltelli is a prominent scholar in statistics, modelling, and science and technology studies. He is widely known for his pioneering work on global sensitivity analysis, which has become a key methodological tool in model evaluation across disciplines—from environmental science to economics and engineering. Beyond his technical contributions, Saltelli has been a leading voice in critiquing the misuse of models and indicators in policy-making, advocating for modelling practices that are transparent, socially responsible, and epistemically humble. He has held research positions at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and the University of Bergen.
